That Beautiful day....

Ok so a lot has happened this year so far...where should I begin? I am just going to jump to February to the most exciting and happiest thing that has happened to us thus far....

Kason Troy Sargent
was born of Feb 22nd at 1:32 in the afternoon

Let me tell you about this day, that we were not quite ready for. You see, Kason was due on March 15th. We had him 3 weeks and 1 day early. This is how it begins, the night of the 21st I was not feeling very good. Kason was up in my ribs, I had the worst headache, I could not sleep, I was so uncomfortable. Thinking I was going to have 3 more weeks to go was going to be rough. We were at the point in the pregnancy where it was a weekly Dr.'s visit. We woke up about 9 am to get ready for our appointment at 10:30. I was feeling a little better. Still had a minor headache, but not as bad as everything was the night before. Branden and I were ready to go to our short Dr.'s appointment that we have had every single time that we've been. Go in, pee in a cup, get my blood pressure, get my measurements done, Dr. Gatherum comes in and asks if I have any questions, we talk for a minute then we are done. Obviously, that is not how it went down this day. I did my usual pee in a cup, and my pee looked really dark. Hmm that's weird is what I thought. I then went to the room to get my blood pressure done. The nurse took it and said, "Wow that's high, let's have you lay on you left side for a couple of minutes." So I did this and sat up to take it again. Still really high. She left the room to go get Dr. Gatherum who came in and the first thing he said was, "looks like we might be having a baby today." Branden and I looked at each other and laughed. Dr. Gatherum then took my blood pressure and same thing, it was dangerously high. He then left the room for a minute, came back and said "you have pre-eclampsia or toxemia! We will be having a baby today. Go ahead and go to labor and delivery." I was in complete shock, haha! I had nothing ready. I wasn't mentally ready. We didn't bring anything. We barely just got his bedroom finished! So to tell you the truth I was freaking out, and so nervous! But at the same time I was excited. As we were walking down to labor and delivery, we made a couple phone calls. Branden's family didn't believe him at first, because he tends to joke around a lot haha. My family wasn't asnwering their phones! We went and got checked in, changed, and waited for Dr. Gatherum to come induce me by breaking my water. At this point I got the news that I wouldn't be able to get a epidural, because my blood pressure was high. If I did I could bleed into my spine. Let's just say I was really scared! Then on top of that I was told I wouldn't be able to have ANY pain medicine, because of my low blood platelets or something like that. Bring on the tears, yes I cried! He broke my water around 12:30 in the afternoon. I was having contractions that weren't very strong. Then all of a sudden pain that I don't really know how to describe or explain was happening over and over again. I then stood up for a couple of minutes to try and deal with the pain, then I felt extreme pressure. It all happened so fast. I laid down did 4 sets of 3 ten second pushes. All in one hour it was done! I was so happy it was so quick, because I don't know how I would have been able to handle a long labor! HE IS HERE! at 6 lbs 10 oz 19.5 inches long.
such a beautiful baby!! So Healthy!

My Mother-in-law and my Sister-in-law Kelli were able to make it down shortly after Kason was born. As soon as they found out they sped the whole way down to Cedar! They made it in a really short time! Kelli is the one who took these awesome pictures! I was so glad that they were both able to come down.

A Blast From the Past

So I am going to totally try and be better at this, so we will see how it goes haha! A lot has happened since the last post. What, it was almost two years ago? So I will just go ahead and recap the highlights we had in the year 2011 first. (If I can remember any) Then we will move onto 2012.

My Sister Chelsy Got Home From Her Mission!!

Chelsy got home from her mission in Feb 2011 from the Colorado Spring, CO mission. Alison and I were able to surprise her by flying out to Virginia to see her come home. We had told her that we weren't able to come out, so that was exciting:) It was so good to see her and the family!
Picking Chels up at the airport! Alison and I were waiting outside...eeeeeee!!!

While we were out there we were able to get family pictures done. Everyone was there but the 2 hubbies.
Here's one with the siblings! Love them :)

Another Addition to the Sargent Family

Our new Nephew, Kyler Quinn was born in Feb 2011. We were able to go to Idaho for the baby blessing. He is so precious. What a Sweet little Angel!

Birthdays
Well I don't have any pictures, but both Branden and I spent our birthdays playing in all night softball tournaments in Ephraim and then in Mt Pleasant. It's a highlight of our year, we love it! We did ok...it was fun! That's all that matters, right? By the end of it we were ready to be done and asleep. Haha!

2 Years!!
So on June 26th was our 2nd anniversary. My Dad and brother Jordan came into town, so we went up north! We went to Wingers for dinner and then Branden got a hotel that we stayed in a couple of nights. It was nice to get away! We got to hang out with Chris and Alison while we were up there as well. We also go to see my Grandpa Hamilton and Joan. No pictures :(

I am Pregnant!!!

After trying for 6 months we found out we were pregnant back in Nov, then sadley I miscarried in Jan of 2011. We tried again and it took us another six months!! Took the pregnancy test in July and it was positive YAY! This is me at 4 months pregnant! I was acting like I was holding a sign, and then never took another picture so yeah.

This is me at 5 months pregnant! Unfortunately these are the only 2 side pictures we took my whole pregnancy :( This pregnancy up to this point has been pretty good! I didn't really get morning sickness. I only threw up a few times! Normally when I did was because of a smell I didn't like.
The next exciting news we found out was.....

It's a Boy!!!!
I don't have the picture of the ultra sound with me....I'm bummed! Branden and I were so excited! We both wanted a boy first! Although, we would have been happy either way :) My parents first grand baby, and Branden's parents 27th grand child was going to be coming in March 15, 2012. We already had 2 boy names that we really liked. You will soon hear the name we chose

*My Family Moved Back to Utah*
Oh what Joy!! You have no idea how happy I was when they moved back! It's been so nice having them closer. Katelyn is a Junior, Jordan is a Freshman, and Terissa is a 7th grader. Can't believe that they are this old already! It's crazy how time flies by. They currently have moved to Santquin!
Just some pics of them since they have been back to UT!
 My Pops
I love them haha!

Thanksgiving at the Sargents
I suck at taking pictures and don't have any :( It was a lot of fun! We had it at Kelli's new house! Everyone was there but David Sargent family, and Cristi's family, we missed them! It was the first time everyone had seen my baby bump! At this time I was 5 months pregnant. I love the Holidays! Just love everything about them...

Christmas with the Hamilton's
The best thing about this Christmas Holiday, was that the whole family ended up in Santaquin for the Holiday! It's the most wonderful time of the year! I love it so much; the music, the snow, the decorations, the food, the parties, family, gifts, the true meaning of Christmas and everything else!
Branden helped me decorate our house!

Finally...

My sister, Alison and my brother-in-law, Chris were able to come down and visit. It's crazy how you can live in the same state, but still never see each other. They came on Saturday night we went to Winger's it was delicious. Sunday we went to church, and just relaxed:) That Night we carved pumkins, just getting in the Halloween spirit.:) Even
Macey was excited about the pumkins.

Alison carved a skeleton and a cat,
Chris carved a grave yard,
Branden carved a scary face,
and I carved a haunted house with a ghost in it!!
Here they are all Done

WOW!!

How the Year has flown by so fast!! It's crazy! It's almost been a year since I have written on this thing. I know I'm horrible! Well a lot has happened, first off Branden and I have been married now for one year 3 months and 14 days. Crazy huh? We bought a town house in May, here in Cedar City!! And we have a new little yorki puppy name Macey. We have had her since Sept 20th. She is 10 and half weeks old now! We love her so much. She is a lot of fun!! Right now she is in a phase where she likes to bite, she thinks she is just playing!! But she is biting too hard. We are still trying to potty train her, she has been doing really well! A few accidents here and there, but it's been ok

My Sister Alison got married!! YAY!! They got married on June 18th it was really fun to go out to VA and spend some time with my family:) Alison was absolutely gorgeos and Chris was of course Handsome!! They got married in the DC temple, which is beautiful!! They currently live in Orem. I wish that I could see them more often. Branden I were able to do a lot of things while were out in VA. We went to a nationals baseball game. Which was a lot of fun! we hung out with the family, went hiking, swimming, kiaking, and went to the DC temple to watch Alison and Chris get their endowments and get sealed for all time and eternity! Which is an exciting thing to see. I love my family. I wish they lived closer, so i could see them more!

We have had a good summer/year! Not really ready for the Winter quite yet! It's definitely been cooling down a bit the past few weeks! I hear it's going to snow here pretty soon. Can't wait for the Holidays!!
